State reserves to be supplemented with another 15 million m3 of natural gas, according to CSE decision

Chisinau, 30 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- 15 million m3 of natural gas will be procured by Energocom company in two installments, and stored in warehouses in Ukraine. Such a decision was taken at yesterday's meeting of the Commission for Emergency (CSE), chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Natural gas stocks will be purchased and delivered under a framework contract for sale and purchase of natural gas of EFET type, concluded between Energocom company and Moldovagaz company.

For the first installment, 10 million m3, the purchase price will be 1882.78 dollars per 1000 m³ and will be confirmed by the delivery-acceptance deed between Moldovagaz and Gazprom, to which will be added the costs of delivery through the transport system of Moldovatransgaz.

The second installment of natural gas, 5 million m3, will be carried out in October, at a preliminary price of 1,058.11 dollars per 1000 m³, estimated according to the situation on 23 September 2022. The final price of natural gas will be recalculated after the establishment of the import price of natural gas for Moldovagaz this October. Also, the CSE members decided to earmark 511 million lei from the state budget to Energocom for the increase of the share capital.

To cover the expenses incurred for the management of the refugee crisis, the CSE members decided to allocate from the Government's Intervention Fund financial means worth 589.7 thousand lei for granting salary increases to employees trained in managing the flow of refugees. Another 445.1 thousand lei will be distributed to local public authorities of level I and 3287.3 thousand lei - to those of level II, for the maintenance of temporary placement centers for refugees. For the same purpose, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MMPS) will get about 1,877 thousand lei, and the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) - 119,9 thousand lei.

The CSE instruction also sees granting to Ukraine as international assistance of material goods worth 16 579 091.05 lei, from the humanitarian aid received for the management of the refugee crisis from the MMPS management. The list of shipped goods is approved by the Order of Minister of Labor and Social Protection and can be found in the annex of the instruction.
