Parliament standing bureau approves agenda of plenary meetings on 11-26 April

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/- Parliament standing bureau has approved the agenda of the plenary meetings from 11 to 26 April 2024.

MPs are to examine several legislative initiatives and hear activity reports presented by the National Anti-Corruption Centre, the National Centre for Personal Data Protection, the Audiovisual Council, as well as the annual progress report on the National Programme for Recovery of Criminal Assets for 2023 - 2027.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, legislative initiatives to be considered in the second reading include the draft law on climate action, a document aimed at increasing the clarity of expropriation procedures, a draft aimed at the area of state control over entrepreneurial activity, and the legislative initiative on loans to farmers.

The deputies will also consider amendments to the Law on local public administration and the Law on the size, method and terms of payment of compulsory health insurance policies. At the same time, changes in the nominal composition of standing committees and delegations to international and bilateral parliamentary organisations will be proposed for consideration.

MPs will also examine the denunciation of the Agreement with the Government of the Republic of Ecuador on visa-free travel for citizens and the suspension of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, signed in 1990.

The plenary session will start at 10:00 on 11 April.
