Moldova, Hungary to boost cooperation in agriculture

Chisinau, April 4 /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) Vladimir Bolea and Hungarian Agriculture Minister Istvan Nagy signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today. The document sees strengthening bilateral relations in agriculture and related sectors.

"We are interested in successful Moldovan-Hungarian relations. We have seen from the plane very neat agricultural land, which confirms that Moldova is the country of possibilities. We have also talked to economic agents from Hungary who have business in Moldova, whose references are optimistic. We are focused on strengthening and expanding Moldovan-Hungarian bilateral relations in the agro-industrial field", Istvan Nagy said after the signing ceremony of the memorandum.

Bolea voiced confidence that the document signed today will boost cooperation relations within the framework of joint assistance programmes and mechanisms: "Our relations have always been growing, which we can classify from very good to excellent, which we are happy about. And the more than forty Hungarian economic agents operating in our country will be more confident in the work they do, motivating other representatives of the Hungarian business environment to be interested in investing in the Republic of Moldova", he said.

There are 44 companies with Hungarian capital operating in the Republic of Moldova, with the volume of share capital investments amounting to more than 20 million lei.
