Moldovan PM in talks with ambassadors of Political and Security Committee

Chisinau, Nov 8 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean has met with ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee (PSC). The officials discussed Moldova's European path, the current regional situation, as well as the government's goals to reform key areas for the country's development, the government's  communication department has reported.

Recean appreciated the firm support of EU member states for the European agenda implemented by the Chisinau authorities, emphasizinag that efforts will continue to focus on ensuring peace and security, reforming the justice system and the fight against corruption, economic growth and attracting foreign investments.

He spoke about the experience and conclusions of the authorities following the presidential elections and the constitutional referendum, emphasizing the attempts to influence their results through disinformation, hybrid warfare and vote-buying schemes.

"The citizens of the Republic of Moldova made a historic choice, despite massive interference and actions from Kremlin to undermine the democratic vote. We will continue to build a European country with resilient institutions and ensure the rule of law, peace and prosperity," said Recean.

For their part, the ambassadors reaffirmed the European Union's commitment to provide our country with the necessary support, including for speeding up the reforms expected by the citizens: "We are part of the same European family and together we will continue to help Moldova enhance the country's stability and prosperity on European path."
