Moldovan deputy PM has phone conversation with Lithuania's vice minister of foreign affairs

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - The developments on the agenda of Moldova’s European integration have been discussed by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov with Lithuania’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the European Integration Simonas Šatūnas, the government’s communication department has reported.      

The officials referred to the Moldovan authorities’ progress in the implementation of the last recommendations of the European Commission and the priorities on the European integration agenda for this year.  

Also, Deputy PM Gherasimov stressed that Moldova relied on the support of Lithuania in the European Council, for the quick adoption of the framework of negotiations and the organization, in the nearest future, of the first inter-governmental conference, which is to mark the official launch of the negotiations on accession.  

The sides agreed on boosting the cooperation in the European affairs sector, thus consolidating even more the friendship relations between Moldova and Lithuania. In the context, Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov thanked the Vilnius authorities for the constant support provided to Moldova on the way of accession to EU.
