Moldovan citizens can sign up for energy compensation

Chisinau, Nov 5 /MOLDPRES/- Citizens can register for energy compensation. On the first day of the program's launch, more than 50 thousand families applied for the aid. The information was presented today by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu during a press conference.

Citizens who want to benefit from the support can register starting today on www.compensații.gov.md.

The official emphasized that vulnerability categories are no longer used for the allocation of compensation for 2024-2025 cold season. The compensation amount is calculated individually by the Energy Vulnerability information system.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection announces that all compensations are granted from the Energy Vulnerability Fund, financed from the state budget with the support of the European Union and other development partners.

The Government is providing energy compensation to vulnerable households through the Help on the Meter program for the third consecutive year.
