Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The 2024 year has been a year of transformations for Moldova’s road infrastructure from the construction site of the northern region to the roads from the south. The 2024 year was a year full of challenges, as well as of outstanding achievements for roadmen or each project finished represented an important progress in the development of the national network of roads. This is what a summing up made by the State Administration of Roads (ASD) shows.
„We finish this year by reviewing the key moments which marked the tireless effort of specialists involved in all stages, beginning with planning up to monitoring and maintenance. These achievements are just several examples of the efforts made this year, which shows ASD’s continuous commitment to improve the road infrastructure, the accessibility and connectivity between communities, as well as to enhance the safety and comfort of the participants in the traffic,’’ the quoted source said.
In the context, the State Administration of Roads launched a new version of the platform of paying the vignette – an essential instrument in the process of digitalization of the public services from Moldova. So far, 748,046 vignettes have been purchased and the collections to the state budget amounted to 131,000,113 lei, representing an important and essential source of financing for the maintenance of local and national roads.

At the same time, to enhance pedestrians’ safety, about 10 km of pavements were constructed, giving safer and more comfortable access to residents from rural communities.
A significant step in the development of the road infrastructure is also the fact that the State Administration of Roads joins the digital revolution in constructions. Thus, ASD participated in an international event, The BIM Challenge 2024, in Constanta, organized by ALLBIM NET, reaffirming its commitment to adopt innovating solutions, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), for the sustainable development of the road infrastructure.
