Moldova to host European Beach Rugby Championships

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will host the European Beach Rugby Championships in Chisinau in the La Izvor Park on 31 August – 1 September.
Fourteen elite teams from seven countries, which will compete to prove their supremacy on sand ground, have confirmed their presence at the tournament.
The secretary general of the Education and Research Ministry, Sergiu Gurin, told a today’s news conference that the event would bring together the most talented teams from all over Europe.
Present in Chisinau, the director competitions of the European Rugby Federation, Philippe Tuccelli, welcomed the organization of the European Beach Rugby Championships in Moldova, noting that Chisinau would become the centre of the European rugby in the next week-end.
All matches will be played on the arena of the La Izvor Park. The entrance is free.
The opening of the championship will take place on 31 August and the ceremony of closing will be held on 1 September evening.
