Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Energocom company forecasts a deficit of energy of 484 MW between 16:00 and 19:00 for 14 January, because of the increase in the consumption and of the limits of the Isaccea-Vulcanesti high-tension power line. It is about 3 per cent of the need of electric energy and it will be covered by emergency deliveries from Romania. Nevertheless, even in such conditions, Moldova’s government gives assurances that no disconnections from power supply will take place.
In the context, the cabinet says that more than a half of the electric energy comes from Romania and almost one third is produced in Chisinau.
„In the Transnistrian region, the situation stays complicated in continuation. The household consumers have been without gas for heating starting from 1 January, when a schedule of fan disconnections from power supply entered into force,’’ the quoted source said.
The government continues to attentively monitor the developments and will take all measures necessary, in order to maximally avoid the effects of this situation, triggered by Gazprom’s refusal to deliver gas.
