International Literature and Translation Festival starts in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/ - The second edition of the International Literature and Translation Festival (FILIT) Chisinau started in the Moldovan capital today. The event brought together writers, translators, editors and literary critics from Romania, Moldova and other countries.
Attending the official opening of the event were the state secretary of the Department for the Relation with Moldova (DRRM) at the Romanian government, Adrian Dupu and Moldova’s Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun.
Adrian Dupu reaffirmed the deep relations between Moldova and Romania. ‘’FILIT Chisinau represents not only a celebration of the literature, but also a cultural bridge, reaffirming the deep relations between Romania and Moldova. Through our support, we want to bring writers and readers closer, consolidating this essential relation for our common identity.’’
The Festival is backed by the DRRM, Culture Ministry of Moldova, Culture Ministry of Romania and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, with the support of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) Moldova.
