MOLDOVAN GOVERNMENT EDIFIES: Bulboaca bridge reopened for movement

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - The State Administration of Roads (ASD) today received the works of repair of the Bulboaca bridge. The procedure took place with the participation of the state secretary in the road infrastructure sector at the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR), Nicolai Mindra.   

According to ASD, following the repair works, the degradings of the highway bridge were remedied; the bridge is placed on the public road G109 Delacau-Bulboaca-R2, km 23.850.

„The bridge was rehabilitated according to all requirements and norms established for a road of this category. The repair of this bridge will provide better safety conditions and comfort for all participants in the traffic and will improve the local road infrastructure,’’ Nicolai Mindra said.  

Built in 1970 and having a length of exploitation of more than 44 years, the bridge was subjected to repair works starting from July 2023. ‘’These works regarded the remedying of the significant degradings of the structural elements, in order to reestablish the functionality of the bridge and to ensure the road movement in conditions of safety and comfort,’’ ASD said.  

“Following repairs, the bridge is safer and has two lanes, sidewalks and modern water evacuation systems. We move forward, we build European roads and bridges,’’ Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu said.  

There are 6,800 bridges in Moldova in all, of which 877 are managed by ASD.
