Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today invited the civil servants of the working groups in charge of the negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union at the Presidency’s headquarters, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state thanked the civil servants which practically and technically carry out the accession to EU – heads of working groups, state secretaries, heads of departments, consultants, heads of agencies, the European Integration Bureau, representatives of all ministries, of the Centre for the approximation of the legislation of the State Chancellery – people who are not seen on TV, but do the hard and complex work of the European integration process.
„This is a huge responsibility, as well as an honour to be the generation of civil servants which leads Moldova to the European Union,’’ Moldovan president stressed.
In discussions, Maia Sandu addressed a request to all those who make sure that Moldova is prepared for accession to take into account, above all, the national interest, when they negotiate the accession chapters.
„Moldova must defend its interest each time. We should be proud of Moldova, transform it into a European state and point out the nice things which define our country, promote them all over the world and boost what we have the best,’’ the Moldovan president added.
