Raids made in north Moldova in file on electoral corruption, illegal financing of political parties

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - Anticorruption officers and prosecutors from Balti today carried out searches in a criminal file opened on the electoral corruption and illegal financing of political parties.

According to the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA), the raids regarded the Balti-based office of a political party and the homes of private people affiliated with the concerned formation.

According to the quoted source, the concerned people are suspected of acts of corrupting voters, compilation of lists with people interested, of delivery of data of the voters who were to be corrupted to financial institutions from abroad.

Mobile phones, financial means and rough copies were raised from people searched and from the formation’s headquarters.
