Moldovan electoral body accredits another 147 observers for ballot due on 20 October

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today accredited 147 observers for the monitoring of the republican constitutional referendum and the presidential elections.
Under the CEC’s decision, the Commission accredited 41 people on behalf of the National Youth Centre of Moldova; six people on behalf of the Public Institution, Continuous Training Centre in Electoral Sector; 36 people – on behalf of the Promo-LEX Association.
The following persons were accredited as international observers: one person on behalf of the Embassy of Japan in Moldova; eight people on behalf of the Embassy of Germany; two persons on behalf of Embassy of the Czech Republic; 46 people on behalf of the Embassy of the United States; two persons on behalf of the Embassy of Italy; two persons on behalf of the Central Electoral Commission of Uzbekistan; three persons on behalf of the Embassy of Poland.
Also, CEC accredited the following people as interpreters: 13 people on behalf of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO); 134 people on behalf of the OSCE Office; eight persons on behalf of the International Republican Institute Washington, Chisinau branch.
So far, the Commission has accredited 278 international observers and 1,148 national ones.
The deadline for submitting applications on observers’ accreditation expired on 13 October.
