Moldovan PM urges people to vote

Chisinau, Oct 16 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean today urged Moldovan citizens eligible to vote to participate in the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum due on 20 October.

He said "it is very important to participate in this democratic exercise".

"I urge all of us to go out and vote on 20 October. This is the most important exercise in a democracy. Let's go to the polls, ask for two ballot papers: one for the referendum, one for the presidential election and vote. It is very important that we participate in this democratic exercise," he said.

Presidential elections and a constitutional referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union will be held in the Republic of Moldova on 20 October.
