Athlete from Moldova ranks fifth at Self-Improvement Race held in United States

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ - An athlete from Moldova, Radu Budan, has successfully arrived at the finish of the Self-Improvement Race, held in New York, USA. The sportsman covered 3,100 miles (about 5,000 km) in 52 days. As a result, Radu Budan ranked fifth and became the first Moldovan to manage to cover this distance.
Radu Budan has in his prize record, also in New York, a race of 10 days, with an outstanding result of 1,040 km, as well as over 43 races covered during one year.
Ten years ago, another sportsman of Moldova tried to cover this distance. In 2014, Veaceslav Dodonu ran 2,700 miles (about 4,345 km).
