Tudor Ulianovschi: I voted for united and prosperous Moldova

Chișinău, Oct 20 /MOLDPRES/- Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Tudor Ulianovschi, an independent candidate at the presidential elections has cast his vote. He urged citizens to go out and vote for a united and prosperous Moldova.
Ulianovschi arrived at the polling station with his wife and eldest daughter. He said he "voted for a prosperous future, for a Moldova where there is normalcy, understanding and unity."
"I voted so that our children can have all necessary conditions in the country, at school, at university, in any clinic or hospital. The Republic of Moldova needs to develop in a European and democratic way. Today, together with my family, I laid the first cornerstone to ensure that human rights will be observed in the Republic of Moldova. I strongly believe that these elections will proceed without irregularities, without fraud, and this election process will be positively evaluated. We are voting for the future, not for the past," he said.
He also made an appeal to voters: "Your participation in this election is very important for our future."
Today, in the Republic of Moldova, elections are being held for the position of head of state, along with a constitutional republican referendum on the country's accession to the European Union. The voting procedure started at 7:00 AM and will end at 9:00 PM.
The ballot for the presidential election includes 11 candidates.
