Moldovan PM on situation at Moscow polling stations

Chisinau, Oct. 20 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean came up with a reaction to the situation at the polling stations in the Russian Federation. The official said "an organization of the transport of the electorate" is reported, saying that Chisinau authorities warned "that it is illegal to undertake such actions".
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova announced today that it anticipated the possibility of congestion at the polling stations in the Russian Federation "as a result of attempts to organize the illegal transport of voters to the polling stations".
In this context, the MAE said "the crowds at the two polling stations in Russia were created artificially, aimed at jeopardizing the electoral process".
According to the MAE, polling stations in the Russian Federation opened at 07:00 local time and are operating normally. They are equipped with the maximum number of ballot papers - 5,000 for each polling station.
Moldova holds presidential elections and republican constitutional referendum on the country's accession to the European Union. In this regard, 2,219 polling stations were set up, of which 1,988 are open in Moldova and another 231 - abroad.
