Maia Sandu - Alexandr Stoianoglo electoral debates// Teams of two candidates agree on Regulation

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - The electoral debates between the candidates for the office of Moldova’s president, Maia Sandu and Alexandr Stoianoglo, will take place at the Palace of the Republic on 27 October starting from 10:00. The teams of the two candidates agreed on the Regulation of the organization of the electoral debates.    

The staffs of the two candidates, Maia Sandu and Alexandr Stoianoglo, have established the rules according to which the next Sunday debates would be held. Thus, the sides agreed upon the fact that the debates should take place without moderator. The candidates will have right to put questions and answer them either in the Romanian or in the Russian languages.   

The order of the speeches will be established by the drawing of lots before the starting of the debates.

Also, the teams of the two electoral contenders agreed that each candidate would be accompanied by 5 members of the team, who will stay outside the filming stage, by a camera man and a photographer on behalf of the staffs. Each candidate will have a representative in charge of monitoring of the time made available for questions, answers and retorts.   

The candidates will not urge to hatred, war or aggression. Messages of national, racial or religious hatred, inciting to discrimination, territorial separatism, public violence or other manifestations attempting against the constitutional regime are banned.

The Teleradio-Moldova Company Public Institution will broadcast live the debates fully, without intervening in their context.  

The electoral debates will include by one greeting message addressed to voters, mutual questions and a final speech. If the periods of time provided for the three stages are not fully used, they will not be recovered.  

The first electoral debate between the two candidates, Maia Sandu and Alexandr Stoianoglo, who will fight in the runoff election, will take place on 27 October.
