Moldova DevCon 2024 conference, dedicated to developers in IT sector, held in Chisinau

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has participated in the ceremony on opening of the Moldova DevCon 2024 conference – a regional event which brings together engineers, experts and leaders in the information technology sector, the government’s communication department reported.   

The PM emphasized the potential of development of digital products from Moldova, noting that the IT sector stayed attractive for young people.  At the same time, Prime Minister Dorin Recean referred to the importance of the IT Park – its work was extended till the 2035 year and the single tax of 7 per cent was maintained.  

„We will make in continuation effort, in order to provide more predictability and clear-cut perspectives for those who work and invest in the information technologies field. We will develop the digital infrastructure and will maintain a legal and fiscal framework, so that the tech sector flourishes in Moldova,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.     

The practical presentations and instructions at the event regard such subjects as the integration of artificial intelligence solutions in data systems, development of mobile applications, cyber security and protection of data, especially in the context of the European regulations. Also, more international companies unveil bids of employment in the information technologies industry.  

About 600 specialists in the sector and 20 speakers from 10 countries - Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa Sweden, Finland, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Romania and Moldova – take part in the conference.
