Criminal files on illegal financing, electoral corruption in Moldova: new searches take place in Rascani, Chisinau

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen and prosecutors today made raids with new searches in the northern Rascani town and Chisinau. The actions take place within the criminal files opened on illegal financing and electoral corruption.  

According to the General Police Inspectorate, supporters and members of the Shor crime ring and of the Victoria (Victory) political bloc lure people and propose them money, for them to vote against a candidate registered in the electoral race for the presidential elections.

During the searches, law-enforcers raised thousands of newspapers with the inscription Revival, Shor, mobile phones with the „псб” (PSB)  application set, labour contracts in Russia, lists and note-books containing personal data, including phone contacts, lists with vehicles’ registration numbers, copes of identity cards of remunerated people, documents, rough copies, lists of participants, articles with inscriptions specific to crime ring, banks cards, SIM cards, as well as large sums of money.    

In continuation, criminal prosecution measures are carried out, in order to establish all circumstances and collect evidence.
