15 pupils and students to be awarded President's scholarship

Chisinau, Nov. 6 /MOLDPRES/- 15 pupils and students will receive merit scholarships for outstanding results in the 2024-2025 academic year. Government approved the list of beneficiaries today, the government's communication department has reported.

Under the draft, 10 students will receive 3,690 lei per month for one academic year. At the same time, the scholarship for college students will amount to 2,860 lei. Government is strengthening the higher education system by supporting performance and meritocracy.

In selecting the beneficiaries, aspects such as grade point average, educational, cultural, sports and scientific activities carried out by the young people, as well as letters of recommendation were taken into account.

For the current school year, the presidential scholarships have been increased from 1,845 lei to 3,690 lei for students and 2,860 lei for technical vocational education students. This year, 72 applications were submitted for the President's scholarship.
