19:49 | 18.11.2024 Category: Political

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced changes in the government team today evening. Thus, more ministers stepped down from their offices and the PM put forward new candidacies instead of them.

The changes regard the leadership of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA), Interior Ministry (MAI) and Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR).

Thus, Vladimir Bolea leaves the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry. Ludmila Catlabuga is taking over his position; she is presently acting as executive director of the Association of Farmers Milk Producers from Moldova.

At the same time, Vladimir Bolea gets another office in the government. He will lead the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry. The decision was taken, after in the beginning of the last week, Andrei Spinu had informed about his withdrawal from the government.

The current state secretary at MAI, Daniela Misail-Nichitin, was put forward for the position of interior minister. She will replace Adrian Efros in this office.

The new ministers are to be sworn in office on 19 November morning.

The changes come, after President Maia Sandu, back in the electoral campaign, said that, if she was reelected as Moldovan president, certain changes would be made in the governmental team till the end of this year.

After the runoff presidential elections, PM Dorin Recean said that he would come up with proposals of changes in policies and in the cabinet, as ‘’the citizens who voted quite clearly said that we must make certain changes.’’

The cabinet of ministers led by Dorin Recean was sworn in office on 16 February 2023.
