Chisinau, Tiraspol political representatives meet in Bender

Chisinau, Nov. 19 /MOLDPRES/- A meeting between the political representatives of Chisinau and Tiraspol in the Transnistrian settlement negotiations is taking place in Bender today, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebiran and Tiraspol's representative Vitalii Ignatiev hold talks at the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova. "In his message, Serebrian revealed the current problems faced by farmers in Dubasari district and Romanian-language educational institutions in the Transnistrian region, as well as addressed the complicated human rights situation in the region, in particular on individual cases of violation of fundamental rights," the message, posted on Telegram, reads.

The topics on the Transnistrian settlement agenda were discussed by Serebrian with Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga, the EU special representative in the Transnistrian settlement negotiations. During the talks, special attention was paid to Moldova's European integration efforts and its effects on the region, including the steps to be taken to ensure a high level of readiness of the eastern districts for the entire country's accession to the EU.
