Moldovan president, Romanian foreign affairs minister discuss regional security

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Romania Luminita Odobescu, on a working visit to Chisinau, the presidential press service has reported.
The meeting gave occasion to exchange opinions on the latest developments from both countries, including the holding of the presidential elections and the constitutional referendum in Moldova, as well as the good organizations of the two ballots from Romania on the territory of Moldova in the next weeks. In the context, the officials stressed the need of a close cooperation and a continuous exchange of experience, in order to protect the democratic processes.
The discussions were also focused on the regional security and its impact on both countries. The sides highlighted the importance of joint answers, in order to cope with the challenges triggered by the instability in the region and to ensure the economic and social resilience.
