Chisinau, Nov. 21 /MOLDPRES/- First batch of eggs (category A) from the Republic of Moldova arrived yesterday on the European Union market. The producer is BP -Nord Ltd from Bleșteni village, Edinet district, which on October 8, 2024 was listed with the right to export to the European market and launched the first export operation.
Currently, our country has three economic agents that can export eggs and chicken meat to the European Union market, following the harmonization of our legislation to the EU requirements.
On October 8, the first batches of fresh (frozen) poultry meat from Moldova were exported to the European Union market, the world's largest market. On the same day, the first producer of eggs (category A) in the country was listed with the right to export to the EU market. This was possible as a result of the efforts of state institutions on the implementation of national legislation harmonized with the EU legislation in March 2023, when the Republic of Moldova obtained the right to export poultry products to the European Community.
The National Agency for Food Safety recommends the economic agents to explore the EU market by submitting the export application to ANSA.
