Moldovan president meets minister delegate for European affairs of France

Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has met Minister Delegate for European Affairs of France Benjamin Haddad, on an official visit to Moldova. The discussions were focused on boosting the cooperation with France and the constant support on behalf of this country for Moldova’s European integration process, the presidential press service has reported.
At the meeting, President Maia Sandu thanked Minister Benjamin Haddad for the contribution of France to backing the reforms, consolidation of the state’s institutions and promotion of the democracy in Moldova. Referring to the European integration path, the head of state expressed appreciation for the willingness of France to share its expertize through the close cooperation between the General Secretariat for European Affairs of France and Moldova’s Bureau for European Integration.
Also, the two officials stressed the importance of an extended cooperation and of a constant exchange of experience for combating the misinformation and the interferences from abroad, in order to protect the democratic processes.
President Maia Sandu highlighted the role of France as a firm supporter of Moldova and spoke out for the deepening of the political dialogue through the development of a strategic bilateral partnership.
