Moldova marks National Agriculture Workers' Day

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova today marks the Day of Agriculture Workers. On this occasion, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga congratulated all those who contribute to the development and prosperity of agriculture.
The minister said that farmers deserve all gratitude, as they make agriculture transform and villages stay alive, they transform the country's natural resources into a source of prosperity, food security and continuity for future generations.
The official assured that the authorities stand by farmers to meet the challenges in the crucial sector. "We will continue to work together to develop policies and solutions that support your efforts, encourage innovation and ensure a sustainable future for agriculture. I wish you health, peace, rich harvests and every success in your work. Thank you for all you do for Moldova", the official concluded.
Every year, on the fourth Sunday of November, the profession of farmer is celebrated on the occasion of the National Day of Agriculture Workers. This year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry has declared November as the month of the farmer and has launched several activities in the regions to celebrate and recognize the work of farmers and agricultural workers.
