People from central Moldova commune benefit from running water, due to American nation

Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - Over 1,800 residents of the Chetrosu commune, central Anenii Noi district, enjoy running water starting from this autumn.
The settlement has clean and safe water, due to a new water supply system, which includes 1.72 km of network and two water towers for pumping water. The project, worth 263,000 dollars, of which 80,000 dollars is the contribution of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), replaced the old system, providing quality water to the residents of the Todiresti and Chetrosu settlements.
Within the partnership with the My Community Programme, the Chetrosu commune benefited from technical assistance and training in the fields of management of public money, transparent budgeting, strategies of growth of local revenues, management of public assets.
Also, the entire community benefited from trainings in the implementation of projects on participatory budgeting, which resulted in projects on purchasing benches for the gymnasium from Todiresti.
Through the My Community Programme, USAID provides support to the partner mayoralties for the implementation of projects, which have the goal to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens, as well as the living standards of the communities.
