Moldovan energy minister has working meeting with Gazprom CEO

Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - Energy Minister Victor Parlicov today had a working meeting with Gazprom Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alexey Miller. The sides discussed the deliveries of natural gas to Moldova (to the Transnistrian region), based on the present contract following 1 January 2025, especially if the transit through Ukraine is interrupted.

The members of the Moldovagaz stock company’s Administrative Board, put forward by the Energy Ministry, were introduced at the meeting. These are Dorin Junghietu for the office of the president of the Administrative Board, Vadim Ceban for the office of deputy president, Eduard Calancea and Radu Mandraburca for the positions of member of the Administrative Board. In the near future, the concerned candidatures were subjected to the repeated procedure of voting.

The sides also discussed the settlement of the debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom. In the context, the sides agreed on resuming the consultations on this issue.
