One thousand of families from Moldova have dwellings within First Home Plus programme

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - One thousand families have new dwellings due to the First Home Plus Governmental Programme. The beneficiaries of the programme are, on average, 35 years old and the dwellings purchased had prices between 400,000 and 2.5 million lei, according to the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry (MDED).
According to the quoted source, during only three months after the launch, the overall value of the loans accessed through the programme reached 1.2 billion lei, while the state, through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Organization (ODA) guaranteed loans worth 720 million lei.
„We understand the challenges faced by the young families on their road towards independence. Namely therefore, in late last July, we ruled to turn the things easier – to remove the obstacles which kept them far from their dream, simplifying the access to the financing for the purchasing of dwellings. For us, matters that the young people remain here, at home, and build a worthy and stable life,’’ Deputy PM, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba said.
The programme attracted mostly the urban environment, where 90 per cent of the beneficiaries chose dwellings. Ten per cent opted for rural areas, thus backing their development. Also, 90 per cent of the dwellings are apartments and 10 per cent – houses.
Officially launched in 2024, the First Home Plus is part of the extended governmental initiative which regards the facilitation of the access to financing for dwellings. The programme represents a foundation stone for the development of the sustainable real estate market and for the consolidation of a society based on stability and progress.
