Chisinau, Nov. 28 /MOLDPRES/- Drivers who commit violations that do not have significant consequences on public order and security will get warnings, but not fines. A draft amendment to the Contravention Code was passed today in the second reading by 61 lawmakers.
Warnings will be issued by the inspecting officer, without referring the contravention case to the court, only in cases where two conditions are cumulatively met. More specifically, the person concerned must not have been penalized within the last year for committing the same infringement. The person concerned must also have paid all fines imposed for previous offenses.
