PHOTO Sports complex from settlement of Gagauz autonomy renovated through European Village Programme

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - The building of the sports complex from the Dezghingea village, Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA) of Gagauzia, has been rehabilitated on the outside, after it was abandoned during two decades, due to the European Village National Programme.
The project titled, Reconstruction of the roof of the building of the Social Sports Centre from the Dezghingea village, provided for the change of the roof, thermal insulation of walls and replacement of the woodwork, which allowed ceasing the degradation of this public building. According to the mayor of this village, Vasilii Kapsamun, this reconstruction does not only improve the local infrastructure, but also creates new opportunities for the youth from the village, thus contributing to the development of sport and social activities from the community.
”Along with the local residents, we ruled to submit a project to the European Village Programme. And here, due to it, we managed to change the roof and make capital repair at the cover of the building, which will allow us, in the long run, to make the needed intervention also indoors, so that we can use the building for the community,’’ the mayor also said.
Presently, a section of free-style wrestling, with over 60 children, a section of folk dances, in which about 50 children from the settlement participate, already work in the building of the present Sports Complex. At the same time, the local administration arranged bathrooms and wardrobe rooms, thus ensuring the best conditions for those who train in this building.
‘’We are grateful to the government and specialists of the National Office for Regional and Local Development for the assistance provided, giving our children opportunity to develop their skills in the sports sector. Inside the building, we have still much to do, in order to improve the quality of services provided, but we are confident that we will succeed together,’’ the mayor of Dezghingea, Vasilii Kapsamun, said.
The value of the project implemented in Dezghingea exceeds three million lei.
