Over 634 thousand families to receive compensation for November

Chisinau, Dec. 10 /MOLDPRES/- More than 634 thousand households will receive compensation for November, which represents 90% of applicants. Thus, 237 thousand families will receive compensation of 800 lei, while the remaining households will receive between 300 and 800 lei. The payments can be collected from tomorrow at post offices or transferred to bank cards. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu made the statement today.

According to the official, as of the end of November, 703 thousand applications were registered in the system, which is 1.4 million people. "Over the past week, the team has been analyzing the situation of those who submitted applications. We want to make sure that we understand as well as possible the case of each family that has applied for compensation. In the end, around 634 thousand households will receive compensation for November, which represents 90% of the applicants registered in the system. These households include 1.283 million people. Out of the total number of beneficiary families, 237 thousand will receive a compensation of 800 lei, another 396 thousand beneficiaries will get compensation ranging between 300 and 800 lei. The necessary budget for November is about 334 million lei," Buzu said.

The Minister also noted that the Government will adopt a decision on payments for December, which is necessary to reflect the increase in the natural gas tariff. The changes only concern citizens for whom natural gas is the main source of heating.

"The Government will mitigate the increase in tariffs. Thus, citizens will again check Personal Cabinet to see the amount of compensation set for December. I also urge people to use energy efficiently and be careful with sources. The Government and the team of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection are working hard to make sure that this year again we provide all the necessary support so that citizens who receive compensation do not pay more for energy than last year. I am sure that together we will get through this winter as well," said Alexei Buzu.

In order to receive compensation, all household consumers must submit an application, regardless of whether they applied last year. It can be filled in online on the platform compensatii.gov.md or with the help of registrars. Applications can be submitted throughout the cold season, until the 25th of each month, but compensation will be granted from the month of application.

Compensation is offered for the cold season, which includes the months of November to March.
