Moldovan PM says smart investments should be made to develop more prosperous society

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today participated in the second edition of the national financial education forum, the government’s communication department has reported.
The PM appreciated the results of the national campaign, Financial Education for Everybody. Recean emphasized the interest of those almost 1,500 young people who got involved and learned more things about the management of the budget, about savings, investments and the importance of choosing correct financial products.
„The government’s commitment is to integrate the financial education into the educational system and to promote it at all levels of the society. This is an investments in the capacity of our people to save more efficiently and to contribute to the economic development through smart investments,’’ the prime minister said.
According to PM Dorin Recean, the national financial education programme, unveiled at the event, will provide the citizens with the instruments necessary, in order to understand and efficiently use the financial resources.
„The financial education is more than just a skill; it is a discipline. We must work honestly and make smart investments, in order to contribute to the economic growth and to the development of a more prosperous society,’’ the PM added.
The national financial education forum was organized by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), in partnership with the Expert-Grup Independent Analytical Centre, and brought together over 100 participants.
The national campaign, Financial Education for Everybody, was launched in the autumn of the 2023 year and carried out with the financial support of the Moldova Institutional and Structural Reforms Activity Programme (MISRA) of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Press clubs, a financial education camp and other financial education events were organized within the campaign in lyceums, colleges and universities.
