Moldovan MPs to consider budgets for 2025, increases in salaries for more categories of employees

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s standing bureau today approved the agenda of the plenary meetings due to take place on the period 19-27 December 2024. The lawmakers will consider, in the final reading, the budgets for the 2025 year, the increase in salaries to more categories of employees and the measures of support for farmers.
More exactly, the standing bureau included on the agenda the examination, in the second reading, of the draft law on the state budget for 2025, the draft law on the mandatory health insurances accounts and the draft law on the state social insurances budget.
The MPs will consider, in the second reading, amendments to the Law on the single system of payment of salaries in the public sector, which sees the increase in salaries for more categories of employees.
The parliament will also consider the national defence Strategy of Moldova for the 2024-2034 years and the legislative initiative which contains measures of support for farmers.
In the second reading, the lawmakers will discuss a legislative initiative which regards aspects on the way of fulfillment of the military service, as well as amendments to the Customs Code, which imply the providing, in continuation, of facilities to the residents of the Free Economic Zones.
In the first reading, the MPs will consider a legislative initiative which contains provisions for facilitating the work of the business environment, a draft law which regards the modernization of the system of providing civil status public services, as well as a draft law on the protection of animals.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the agenda contains also two draft laws worked out in order to adjust the national legislation with the European Union’s legislation. It is about the draft law on the norms of making available fertilizing products on market and a draft law on the environmental liability concerning the prevention and repair of the damages inflicted to the environment.
On 19 December, the parliament’s plenary meeting will start at 10:00.
