Distribution of Road Fund for 2024 amended to meet needs of business, citizens

Chisinau, Dec. 19 /MOLDPRES/- The Cabinet of Ministers yesterday approved amendments to the program on the distribution of funds of the Road Fund for 2024. They aim to use the allocated funds efficiently and in full volume, meeting the needs of the business environment and citizens.

According to the government's decision, in this regard, some planned financial means, which fall within the available limit of the Road Fund, will be redistributed to the spending chapters.

Thus, from the total amount allocated for 2024, amounting to about two billion lei, the redistributed financial means are intended for the completion of maintenance and repair works on national public roads with a total length of 5970 km and their engineering constructions, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) says.

"This will make it possible to maintain the road infrastructure to the necessary standards to ensure safe traffic," MIDR summarizes.
