Superior Council of Magistracy proposes Moldova's president dismissal of judge from office

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) have turned down an application by judge Alexei Panis to repeatedly be proposed to Moldova’s president for appointment to office till the reaching of the age ceiling.
At a today’s meeting, CSM rejected, with six votes for and four ones against, the application by judge Alexei Panis from the Chisinau Court on the submission of the repeated proposal to Moldova’s president on appointment till the reaching of the age ceiling.
Three of the CSM members, who voted against the judge’s dismissal from office, said that they would publish separate opinions.
Thus, CSM ruled to propose President Maia Sandu to dismiss Alexei Panis from the position of judge.
