Moldovan Presidency launches contest for selection of candidate for office of director of Centre for Strategic Communication and Combating of Misinformation

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Presidency today launched the contest for the selection of the candidate for the office of director of the Centre for Strategic Communication and Combating of Misinformation.
According to the presidential press service, people interested in participating in the contest can submit files till 24 January 2025, 17:00. Details about the contest and the Regulation on the way of organization and holding of the public contest for the selection of the candidate for the position of director can be found on the webpage of the presidential institution.
President Maia Sandu on 16 December signed the decree on the creation of the commission for the organization and holding of the public contest for the selection of the candidate for the office of director of the Centre for Strategic Communication and Combating of Misinformation. The commission is made of journalists, representatives of the civil society, MPs and representatives of the Moldovan President’s Apparatus.
The commission will organize and carry out the public contest for the selection of the candidate for the position of the Centre, in line with the provisions of the regulation.
The Centre for Strategic Communication and Combating of Misinformation was set up in July 2023, following a legislative initiative by President Maia Sandu. The institution has the task to consolidate the cooperation between the institutions in the fight against the misinformation, manipulation of information and interferences from abroad, which pose danger or can jeopardize the fulfillment of the national interests.
