Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The situation in the energy sector is not simple, but the government has set the scenarios through which it is to provide with natural gas and electric energy first of all the right bank of Dniester and accordingly, we will cope with these challenges. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made statements to this effect in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting.
The PM admitted that it might happen that certain interruptions of the supply with electric energy occur in places, but the situation is managed.
At the same time, the prime minister urged the citizens to mobilize, to be united and save electric energy, especially on peak hours. ‘’Given the fact that we cannot buy, including today, enough electric energy from the Kuchurgan power station, we have to purchase from market and respectively, the costs are much higher. During 7:00-112:00 and 18:00-23:00, it is the most important that all of us save electric energy maximally. We had a meeting today. All institutions will again receive the instructions needed, so that we can save energy maximally and in this way, it will cost each of us less,’’ Dorin Recean said.
Emergency state was established all over Moldova for a period of 60 days starting from 16 December, given potential risks of insufficiency of energy resources.
