Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The schedule of disconnections from power supply to which an electricity distributor referred today will be put into operation exclusively if a deficit of power is registered in the system and respectively, it will be necessary for the system to be adapted to the magnitude and duration of this deficit. The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, today made statements to this effect.
Daniel Voda came up with five messages to the citizens, so that the latter are informed about the possible scenarios starting from 1 January 2025. ‘’First of all, it is necessary that you are informed in due time. The energy distributors will inform in advance about any planned disconnection from power supply, if this scenario is put into operation. Verify and update the email or verify the company’s website, in order to receive notifications about the schedule of possible disconnections, if it is enforced,’’ Daniel Voda said.
At the same time, the spokesman for the government said that, if deficit of energy was recorded, the disconnection from power supply would be enforced proportionally, without affecting the institutions of vital importance. ‘’These are temporary measures, in order to ensure the stability in the energy sector and will not at all have duration of several days. So, we talk, in some cases, about hours or another time interval, which companies will announce,’’ Daniel Voda stressed.
The third message regards the measures prepared for crisis situations. Daniel Voda emphasized that the emergency state established also a well-structured plan approved by the government, which includes interventions, in order to ensure the continuity of the provision with energy and to reduce the impact on the consumers.
In these conditions, the citizens are urged to consult official sources for updated information about the flow of energy, situation of the electricity networks, connection or disconnection from the power supply. ‘’Please, consult the official webpages of the institutions, ignore, on this quite sensitive period, anonymous postings which can appear on different networks,’’ Daniel Voda noted.
The spokesman for the government also said that, in these critical moments, the consumers were encouraged to efficiently use the energy and support the measures of prevention of the squandering of electricity, reducing the non-essential consumption. ‘’The peak interval of the use of electric energy is between 7:00 and 11:00 and between 18:00 and 23:00. On these periods, try not to overburden the power network and to use only the resources which you need,’’ Daniel Voda said.
Emergency state was established all over Moldova starting from 16 December for a period of 60 days, given potential risks of insufficiency of energy resources.
