Moldovan PM says Cell Crisis to be activated at government's headquarters as of 26 December

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has informed that a Crisis Cell would be activated at the government’s headquarters as of 26 December, so that the authorities make sure that they efficiently manage any emergency situation.    

The action was communicated, after today a joint meeting had been held with ministers, directors of agencies, public institutions, energy companies and representatives of subordinated institutions. The participants in the event discussed the priorities and measures necessary to ensure a peaceful and safe period of winter holidays.    

„Public order, safety in traffic, support for the citizens who come home from the Diaspora and care for the people at risk are just some of the obligations of the institutions on this period. We are prepared for any scenario possible and the plans on our country’s destabilization will fail. Starting from 26 December, a Crisis Cell will be activated at the government’s headquarters, so as we make sure that we efficiently manage any emergency situation,’’ Dorin Recean.   

Emergency state was established all over Moldova starting from 16 December for a period of 60 days, given potential risks of insufficiency of energy resources.
