Moldovan, Emirati officials approach bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, Dec 24 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi held a telephone conversation today with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two officials agreed to boost bilateral dialogue by organizing an exchange of ministerial-level visits in 2025.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the dynamics of Moldovan-Emirati relations on all spectrums of cooperation were considered and appreciated, and the agenda of priorities for 2025 was discussed, with a major focus on the recognition of Moldovan driving licenses, as well as the opening of the UAE Embassy in Moldova.
"We welcomed the increasing level of tourism, as well as the opening of the new air route, Wizzair Chisinau-Abu Dhabi. We also thanked the Emirati authorities for their swift and efficient response to the death of Zvi Kogan, a Moldovan citizen, and for the assistance to Moldova in managing the refugee crisis," said Popșoi.
The two officials agreed to boost the bilateral dialogue by organizing an exchange of ministerial-level visits in 2025, the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, conducting political consultations and expanding the bilateral legal framework.
