Investments worth 1 million lei made in network of model schools: five education institutions of Moldova receive last generation interactive tables

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - Five education institutions of Moldova from the network of model schools will be endowed with last generation interactive tables. Their value exceeds one million lei, provided by a company which produces electronic equipment. The functionalities of the new interactive tables and the possibilities provided by them in the teaching process today were unveiled at an event with the participation of the Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun.
The project, Model Schools Network, was launched by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) in 2023 and at the first stage, 35 education institutions were selected, in the modernization of which about 2 million euros is to be invested.
Minister Dan Perciun said that the project might be extended through the increase in the number of beneficiary institutions up to 90 schools. ‘’In the spring of the last year, we launched the Moldova for Education partnership, the goal of which for us was to involve also the private environment in the modernization of education institutions. Among those 13 companies which expressed openness to come up with donations and investments in the network of modern schools, there is also the Huawei Company, which we thank for support. Thus, five education institutions will benefit from last generation interactive tables; I think that this is one of the most advanced equipment existing on market at present – a donation totaling over one million lei,’’ Dan Perciun noted.
Director of Huawei Moldova, Guo Min said the investment in education was the surest way to guarantee a prosperous future for any society. ‘’We actively support the authorities’ efforts of promotion of the digital education and of development of the digital skills of young people through different projects. We are happy to contribute to the modernization of the education in Moldova through the supply of our innovating technologies to back the next generations,’’ Guo Min noted.
The Stefan Voda Theoretical Lyceum from the Stefan Voda town, Alexei Mateevici Theoretical Lyceum from the Soldanesti town, Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum from the Telenesti town and the Vasile Coroban Theoretical Lyceum from the Glodeni town will benefit from the new interactive tables.
So far, MEC has announced more initiatives through which the education institutions included in the network of model schools would be modernized and endowed with advanced technologies and equipment.
