Three prosecutors fail to pass evaluation for offices of members of Discipline and ethic college of Moldova's Superior Council of Prosecutors

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prosecutors Ion Tetcu, Victor Comerzan and Corneliu Popescu have failed to pass the evaluation for the office of member of the discipline and ethics College, subordinated to the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP). The Commission established that the prosecutors had not met the criteria of financial and ethic integrity.

According to the unanimously passed decision, prosecutor Ion Tetcu does not meet the criteria of financial integrity, provided for in the Law No 26/2022. As for prosecutors Victor Comerzan and Corneliu Popescu, the Commission unanimously established the non-compliance with the criteria of ethic and financial integrity.

The decisions were submitted to the candidates and CSP and will be published only with the candidates’ agreement.

Prosecutors Ion Tetcu and Corneliu Popescu were heard on 2 December 2024 and the hearing of prosecutor Victor Comerzan took place on 11 October 2024. The video recordings of the hearings are available on the website and the YouTube channel of the Commission.
