Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Reintegration Policies Bureau (BPR) informs about the disconnection of 12 public institutions of the Transnistrian region from the gas supply network. BRP noted that the government monitored the situation in the region.
BPR said that the Tiraspoltransgaz enterprise had disconnected from the gas supply network 12 public institutions from the settlements placed in the Security Zone, checked by the constitutional authorities (Dubasari district, Bender municipality and in their proximity), including four education institutions, one medical institution and two cultural institutions.
Besides, the supply with heating was ceased for more public buildings from the Bender municipality, including for Moldova’s territorial subdivisions of police and prosecutor’s office.
„The government monitors the situation in the region,’’ BPR said.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean informs that Moldova is prepared for managing any situation emerged following the Kremlin’s decision. The Gazprom giant on 28 December notified Moldovagaz that it would no longer deliver natural starting from 1 January 2025. The prime minister said that this decision confirmed once again the Kremlin’s intention to leave the residents from the Transnistrian region without light and heating in the middle of the winter. ‘’Russia uses the energy as political weapon, turning the people from the Transnistrian region, whom they control through the illegally deployed army, into hostages,’’ Dorin Recean said.
