Chisinau, Dec. 30 /MOLDPRES/- Government is looking for solutions for Romanian-language schools in the Transnistrian region, whose activity could be affected by developments in the energy sector. They could benefit from an extended vacation or will conduct lessons online. Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun made the statement today.
"Next we will see how things develop and we will decide whether we will extend the vacation by one or more weeks or they will go to learn online. We have had discussions several times already with the directors of the 18 educational institutions affected by this situation. From the last conversation we had, they still prefer the option of going to online learning, without having to extend the vacation further. We have also identified the needs they have, there are certain needs related to computers, internet access. In the coming period, we will explore how we can cover these needs as soon as possible with resources from the state budget or with the support of external partners," said Perciun.
Gazprom on Sunday notified the daughter company it controls, Moldovagaz, that it will no longer deliver natural gas as of 1 January 2025, 08:00.
