Moldovan government approves change of decisions concerning fiscal, customs sectors

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved the amendment and completion of normative acts in the fiscal and customs sectors, in order to adjust them to the updated provisions of the Fiscal Code and Customs Code. The Finance Ministry informed that the amendments were needed, in order to consolidate the legal framework, reduce the administrative burden and meet the requirements of the tax payers.
At the cabinet meeting, Finance Minister Victoria Belous said that the draft provided for the adjusting of 18 normative acts, in order to optimize and modernize the fiscal and customs processes.
Among the principal measures proposed, there is the elimination of the typified regime of primary documents, such as the acts on the procurement of goods and lease services; optimization of the process of use of excise stamps; automation of the cancellation of the sums paid in addition, for the values lower than 1,000 lei, the limitation period of which expired; extension of the spectrum of deductible expenses for private people and exemption from taxes got from interests or increase in capital from state transferable securities.
Other amendments approved regard the establishment of a ceiling for the surplus of financial means, which cannot be justified through forged documents, with a maximal quantum of 150 lei; updating of the regulations on the international transport of goods under the coverage of the TIR card; regulation of the placement under the bounded warehouse of food products with limited validity term and medicines.
The implementation of these regulations will enter into force on 1 January 2025, being synchronized with the provisions of the Fiscal Code and Customs Code.
