Future physicians, pharmacists with excellent marks receive prizes at Gala of Students Laureates

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ - The future physicians and pharmacists with excellent marks in education in 2024, scientific performances and active participation in diverse extracurricular activities have been awarded prizes at the Gala of Students Laureates. The festivity was organized by the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) and the Association of Students and Residents in Medicine from Moldova (ASRM).     

In the opening of the ceremony, USMF Rector Emil Ceban highlighted the achievements of the students, trainees for master’s degree, students studying for doctor’s degree and resident physicians. ‘’With each new project, you showed not only professionalism, but also a huge self-denial for the promotion of the values of our students, which was confirmed also through the Association’s appreciation as the best student self-governance of the 2024 year in Moldova. Through assiduous work and tenacity, you have inspired and guided entire generations of medical leaders, contributing to the development of a united and strong community,’’ the rector said.     

Emil Ceban awarded the ASRM Honorary Diploma for prodigious activity and outstanding achievements, professionalism and social responsibility, promotion of education and medical research, leadership, culture and sport, sound lifestyle and voluntariate among young people, as well as substantial contribution to the enhancement of the USMF’s visibility nationally and internationally.     

In all, 68 students and resident physicians became laureates at the following categories: Education, Research and Innovation, Organizational Skills, Sport, Voluntariate and the Promoter of the Nicolae Testemitanu USMF.
