Consumption of energy fully covered based on commercial contracts in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ - The consumption of electric energy in the last 24 hours, which totaled 14, 359,731 kWh, was fully covered based on the commercial contracts, without the activation of failure contracts, according to data by the Moldelectrica enterprise.
Thus, the daily consumption was backed through a diversified contribution of the production and import sources, showing the balance necessary between the domestic producers and external sources.
On average, the consumption was supplied by MGRES (Kuchurgan power station), with an average of 50.62 per cent; Termoelectrica – 20.69 per cent; CET-Nord – 4 per cent; Costesti Hydro-Electric Know – 0.38 per cent, renewable energy – 2.14 per cent; co-generation power stations of sugar mills – 0.3 per cent. The balance of import of the electric energy (Moldova/Ukraine/Romania) stood at 21.87 per cent.
The Energocom Company today informed that, in January 2025, the necessary amount of consumption of electric energy of Moldova (right bank of Dniester) would be supplied with local production and imports from Romania.
Thus, the heating stations from Chisinau and Balti will provide about 28 per cent of the consumption. Another about 10 per cent is to represent the renewable energy. The rest of 62 per cent of the electric energy needs will be imported from Romania.
